LD and Spectrum Kid Problems
ADD Kid Problem: No one believes it’s real. They scoff and tell you to get over yourself. You know it’s real, though. You live it, but no one else can see it.

Anonymous asked: Would not being able to focus on writing because the people around you are making distracting noises by walking, talking, doing mundane tasks, etc be a spectrum kid's problem? Or is this something everyone has trouble with?
I will add it :) I have both NLD and ADD, so I am not sure which one that would fall under for me, but I do have that :) Also, this blog is for all learning disabilities as well as spectrum problems.
Anonymous asked: Whoa. I don't have anything from the spectrum, but I can relate to almost every post. Whoa.
Well, in the end, spectrum kids are just people like everyone else :) It’s possible to share some of the symptoms without being on it too :)
bald-babe asked: Hiya. I'm Sophie and I'm also a high school student. Although I'm not a spectrum kid, I have an LD in math and social anxiety, as well as super mild tourette's and OCD. I'd love it if you'd consider me to help with your blog during the summer. I'm articulate and friendly and practically spend my life on here. I think I'd be able to relate and I'm a big fan of this blog. Here's my mental illness blog: living-withmentalillness.blogspot(.)ca
You’re hired! :) Thank you so much for volunteering your time, I really appreciate it :) I’ll get back to you soon on more info about it :)
Anonymous asked: Good thinking, forgot to add something like that! I can write legible, but then my speed decreases significantly and it takes me forever to write a sentence. Do you also constantly bump into people you're walking with side by side, even though you don't do it on purpose? It drives my mum crazy. I just can't walk a straight line.
Yeah, same here :) In my case though, my fine motor skills problems stem from problems with the primary motor cortex in the brain. I do walk into things quite a bit though if I’m not careful. The crowded locker room in school is a nightmare!
Anonymous asked: Get points taken off an exam for illegible handwriting (if you have poor coordination).
Done :) I added a bit to it though :) Thanks for your submission!
Yesterday, I posted a rather scathing post about someone whom told me Spectrum conditions were not real. The post contained elitist, disparaging, counter-productive language and was written in anger shortly after the incident had taken place. I am sorry I let my personal vendetta against this person infiltrate this blog and negatively affect the quality of its posts.
Obviously, I do not harbor negative feelings toward neuro-typical people in the least, in fact, I do not know very many people whom are on the spectrum in real life. (I’m the only one in my class in school with a spectrum condition). I sincerely regret the tone of that post, and I just wanted to say I’m sorry.
Thank you :)
